Balfour & Kootenay Bay

Looking for an alternate scenic route to or from Christina Lake? Highway #3A from Creston in the east or Nelson in the west delights the eye with a scenic tour of Kootenay Lake. The Kootenay Lake Ferry links this highway at Kootenay Bay and Balfour. This detour trip will add extra traveling time but well worth the delay.
